Chaostle Status Report (July 24, 2006) -
The production of the Chaostle game is on hold until further notice. It is unfortunate that we trusted a manufacturer that appears to have misrepresented themselves in many ways. We are pursuing a lawsuit at this time. Unfortunately we can never get back all of the lost time. In the meantime, we will be looking into our options including a new manufacturer, and even self production of some of the game components. If you are an inventor, please be careful of who you do business with. There are a lot of bad people and predatory businesses out there that will take advantage of your excitement and desire to get your product to market. Make sure you check several references even if the company appears to be very legitimate.
Chaostle Status Report (April 25, 2006) -
The manufacturer has once again paused the Chaostle production against our requests to continue on schedule. There are many issues causing the new delays ranging from contract disputes, manufacturing mistakes, and accounting errors. As a result, we will be refunding everyone’s money that ordered and reserved a game through National Games Week. Hopefully the manufacturer will be reasonable as we are doing everything we can to come to an agreement with them. Otherwise, the game may be put on hold for a long time while we pursue our legal options. We apologize for these delays even though they are unfortunately out of our control.

Chaostle (ka'os'l) is a combination of the words Chaos and Castle. Chaostle is a three-dimensional castle fantasy board game. Each player selects their starting armies that they will use to battle against their enemies in an attempt to conquer the castle for their King or Queen. The armies consist of many different fantasy fighters with unique skills and weaknesses. These fighters are high quality pewter miniatures in the form of fantasy characters such as wizards, dragons, unicorns, knights, archers, etc. The game has many levels of strategy that can be offset by a wide range of fates (both good and bad).

Unicorns
As wondrous and beautiful as they are deadly, these creatures of good are the embodiment of purity and virtue. |
A unicorn on the battlefield is an awesome sight. It seems to radiate light and hope to everyone around it, inspiring warriors to new heights of valor, and can bring routed formations to pick their weapons back up and continue the fight. A charging herd of them is like nothing else on this world, their horns lowered like shimmering lances, riding in perfect synchrony. The thunder of their hooves can make even a frenzied Warlord decide to dive out of the way. Unicorns ride like lightning, strike like a tidal wave, and show no mercy to the minions of Chaos. "It's truly a cool-ass game."
"I really enjoyed yesterday's game. I think it was THE most exciting game I have ever played. It is uncommon in any other game to go from the depths of depression to heights of anticipation only to be dealt with some amazingly unforeseen twist of fate, and sent to the furthest and darkest corner of oblivion. Thanks again and congratulations on coming up with such an awesome game!"
"Totally awesome! I think we should play every month. The luck factor certainly adds huge entertainment value."
"I was horrified by the complexity at the beginning. This changed to interest and excitement as the game progressed."
"The variety and detail of play is amazing."
"It's a great game and it is very well balanced. I like the way everything can change on a moment's notice and the slight control that each player has in the amount of risk they take.
The fighting was well thought out and moved quickly. I like how a single roll determines hit/miss, weapon and damage. That was a real slow down in D&D that you had to pick a weapon, see if you hit or miss and then determine damage all separately."

Chivalry Games attended its first fantasy / science fiction conventions! We had a dealer's table at many of the conventions and promoted the pre-release of our first game called Chaostle. During the conventions we hosted many Chaostle games in the gaming areas for people to try it out. Our last convention we attended can be seen below. We plan on attending more conventions once Chaostle production is complete.

March 14 - 17, 2005 - Las Vegas, NV
Chivalry Games attended the 2005 GAMA Trade Show. The GAMA Trade Show (GTS) is one of the most important events in the annual calendar of the hobby games industry. Here, the entire industry comes together for education and to expand their businesses. Publishers and distributors exhibit at the show, showing off their product lines and services and making announcements of major releases. Retailers and distributors seek out new products to stock and new publishing companies to push. Educational seminars aimed at every segment of the industry help hobby game professionals improve their business practices and grow their companies.
